I have decided to start "blogging" in Icelandic,
on blogspot.com.

You can find the new link on bjoggi dot com.

Well, I might do two versions, one English and one Icelandic, but for now, only Icelandic.

Good-bye for a while!

Trip in Europe Jun. 28th, 2005 @ 01:11 pm
Well, now I’m back in south Germany after a week trip around Europe.
Last week (tuesday) we drove through Munich and to Vienna, where we got lost for one and a half hour (yay!). We finally found our way to Katarina’s place. I was very tired after driving for such long time in such heat (we were driving an old Citroen car which had NO A/C!) so we took a shower and went out to have cold drinks.
Next day we walked around Vienna with Katarina, through the shopping area to some other cool places with old buildings and stuff (yeah, I’m horrible at remembering what buildings are what).
After a long day outside we took the train to Katarina’s. We decided to just stay inside and relax. Next morning we decided to continue our trip down to Croatia. We drove through Slovenia and in the middle of that country at some very very small village one tire on the car started to act weird and we ended up changing the tire at some auto repair shop, and I think we met the only English-speaking-person in Slovenia there, he was very nice and did it all for free.
Around 9 pm we arrived in Rijeka, a city by the ocean, very beautiful, built on a hill. Found a restaurant/pizzeria (all restaurants were called pizzeria there) and ordered very good pizzas. They cost like nothing... the pizza was like 400 krónur, or around 5-6 dollars.
Drove around to find a camping place nearby the city, which we finally found in the dark (man, it’s hard to find stuff in the dark). It was unbearably hot in the night and in the morning around 8 am we woke up bc it was too hot. We then packed down and drove to Krk (yes, it’s written like that, try to pronounce it!). Btw, I didn’t understand any word in Croatia except “Royal cheese burger” (which is a quarter pounder or Mcgóðborgari) and “Voda” which is water.
Krk is an island closeby, around 1 hour drive. It was a pretty interesting place, and of course I will try to put up some photos as soon as I get home. We sat down by the ocean and ate some and drank, then I ran into the sea and it wasn’t cold at all! L which was a bummer, bc I was dying of heat. We’re talking 32-36 degrees celsius, sun and no wind everyday. 30-32 degrees during night-time. No airconditioning system in the car.. So we were pretty hot all the time.
Later we took a walk downtown Rijeka and ended up getting a hotel room because of the heat. Went out that night and had a wonderful time. I had this pasta thing with those very expensive mushrooms that only pigs can find.. is it Tariff? Then later went to a cocktail bar/place. It had so many varieties that you just had a very hard time deciding what to get. It was like 10 pages of only cocktails, had a few and went home to cool down... well, the hotelroom wasnt even cold so.. a cold shower helped.
Next day we drove by the coast of Croatia towards Projec, a city close to Slovenia and Italy.
On our way there we stopped at a small restaurant just by the country road, it was like a village having around 5-6 houses. We had fried squid there, and oh my god, it was delicious! Best squid I’ve ever had.
In Projec we camped and walked around the city, the city was full of tourists and lots of shops and everybody was trying to sell you icecream by throwing cones at you, a weird salesmen trick. It was beautiful there, and the weather was very nice, it finally rained a little that night so it cooled down just a little, making us able to sleep until 9am.

Our journey continued towards Trieste in Italy and then to Venice. Stopped in Venice for 2 hours and that city is just... so romantic and BEAUTIFUL. I’m definitely traveling there one day and stay for at least 5 days. Then we drove to a city north to Venice, called Treviso. There we found no camping place nor a hotel. So we went downtown there and sat down there and had cold drinks (I must have drunk like 3-4 liters per day during this trip). The city was so alive at like 10-11 pm and it was a Sunday! It surprised me a lot. We finally found a hotel closeby the city and stayed there for one night.
Next day, yesterday, we decided to drive to Verona and then maybe Milano, but after only 2 minutes of driving we had a car accident. Chain accident, car 1 decided to just stop very quickly because someone wanted to pass the road, and the car in front of me, car 2 crashed onto car 1 and I crashed onto car 2. The thing is when I hit the breaks it was like being on ice, the tires were horrible, so we just slided right onto the car. We were only driving on like 30-40 km per hour so it was nothing severe. Just a little mental shock and the fact that the car was very crushed in the front and it wouldn’t start. So the police came and no one spoke English nor German, so we didn’t understand much. The car started later and we were able to get back home to Germany, telling the owner of the car, Annette’s brother, what had happened. I felt very very bad about this. I have never had an accident before and it was kind of a shock for me. But we are OK and I’m glad that nothing worse happened than this.
So now we’re back home and planning on going to France on Friday, to Montpellier (south of France). Coming back on Tuesday and then I will leave next week, on Thursday I think.

I hope this blog entry wasn’t too long, but there is much more to tell than this, which I won’t write here, since yeah, I’m not really into writing a book about this trip, hehe.

I hope you’re all well and I’m looking forward to see you all very soon.

Kisses and hugs from Germany!

In Vienna!
We arrived in Vienna last night around 9pm.... actually we arrived at 7pm but ended up driving around the city for an hour, trying to find Katarina's place..
Gosh, this city has no signs at all, and it's like a labyrinth.. actually just a big chaos.
But we found our way and went out last night, the weather was so perfect.

Just woke up, going out today shopping and probably take some pictures etc.

Next destination is Croatia, we haven't decided when we're going to leave but just when we feel like it.

Take care everyone and I hope you're having a good time.

Off we go Jun. 16th, 2005 @ 11:55 am
12 hours...
and I'm off this island!

Woohoo!

Til þín. Já, þín. | To you. Yes, you. Jun. 13th, 2005 @ 08:46 pm
Icelandic version:

English version:

If the propitious me was flawless like the beings on the street,
everything would be similar to the flatland on your breasts and stomach.

Never will the emptiness inside me flee from the drops of your feelings,
nor run away on their socks from the knots of our universe.

The closeness glues the fractions together and creates an entity I call ease,
so wonderfully beautiful when your silk-lips touch me with vibration inside.

That nostalgia disappears by no time and carelessness was a misunderstanding built on neutrality.
It is the moments that create the story that has already begun in a long book.

Steal my mind and create a sound, feeling, picture, whatever comes up.
Listen and you will find me where dust does not fall and leaves never disappear.

A nice summerday.

It's been a really good weekend, I haven't had so much fun for a long time actually (being drunk).

Last weekend was actually one of the best times in my life.
Went to Snæfellsnes, camped with Annette by the glacier, ran naked towards the ice-cold ocean waves hitting my body and minimizing my genitals.
Drive, take pictures, walk, laugh, eat ice-cream, just enjoying nature, completely. It was very pure and amazing. Well, the nature is too..

On Thursday I am going on a 3-week-vacation to Europe.
Drive to Austria, Croatia, Italy..
barely anything is planned... it will be exciting!
At least I am excited about all of this.

On Friday, before throwing a singstar party, I was playing on the piano for fun and came up with some chords that I actually liked. Very simple and just, they hit me.
I ran to get the midi keyboard, mic and the powerbook.
Recorded, sang something that came up in my mind (it's strange you sometimes get these images in your mind when you just close your eyes and play something).
It seems like people like the idea, a few people have heard it and I think I'm going to develop it and re-record it.

And for those who want to hear - I will post the song on this journal when/if I finish it.

--

Take care everyone and I hope you had a wonderful weekend like I did.

The most interesting part of this life is surprises.
Not really.
Surprises can be so great and they can also be so disappointing, and just plain sadness.

I have been considering two opposite things
a new life
and death

Those two things seem like black and white, but truly have so much in common.
Not that it's both sad or both incredibly amazing.
Just the feelings that go through you are very similar.
At least when I consider both things.

Always be good to the ones you love.
Never seperate in a fight or in anger,
you might never see the person again.

It is summer.
At least it's about to come, in Iceland..
10° C (50°F) today, sunny.

It is funny how people always talk about the weather, if you have nothing to say you can start off being lame and say:
"The weather has been pretty good lately"

I have often wondered why we talk about it, I mean, we already know..
It's kinda like saying: "hey.. so today I'm wearing jeans.. it feels good"

But of course it's not the same thing.

Weather affects us, we are animals now aren't we?
Or maybe not, we're turning to robots.. but that's a different theory.

Since I work at a bookstore and I have to deal with human beings (customers) you can always tell how the day is going to be by just knowing what the weather will be.

Rain and windy... ouch my heart aches
Sunny.. don't be so shallow, I know you don't mean it
Cloudy.. depends on how they slept

Sleep, we talk about dreams.
Dreams are always a fun subject.. to some.
I usually have pretty realistic dreams, I mean they're not totally absurd. I dreamt sex the other day and actually it was a nightmare, because I finished off within a minute!
I was really disappointed in myself in the dream, but it felt great to wake up, realizing it was just a dream.

So... Gay Wars!!!

If a small person entered my world, I would embrace it.
If a small person entered my world, I would love it.
If a small person entered my world, I would raise it.
If a small person entered my world, I would love it.

I have been in bed all day, having terrible headaches and some fever and I've had too much time to think about everything, and nothing.

It is strange how things can change so fast and how you can make things up in your mind that aren't true.
Loneliness is sometimes good for you, but not at certain times.

Just after driving Amy to the airport I started to feel weird in my arms, turned out to be a fever when I got home.. just getting warmer and warmer..

Supposed to go tomorrow night to exercise with my co-workers for a karaoke competition we're having in a week, but I guess I won't be able to do that.
I was wondering, what song should I sing if I participate?
Suggestions? Please suggest a song! (Comment!)

Someone said to me regarding love/relationships:
"if it starts off too well too quickly, it won't last for long"
and that made me smile, because in my experience, don't ever hurry love
never ever hurry love,
it's a flower; give it sunshine, give it rain
but too much of either things will kill it, eventually.

"never be afraid to lose the one you love. loss leads to greed and greed leads to the dark side"
I think Yoda said something like that in the new Star Wars movie,
haha, yeah I know, it kinda sounds stupid to say it but it is true.

Never be afraid of losing the ones you love, embrace what you have and appreciate for the loving friends, family and love(s) in your life.

I sound like a sentimental, sad old woman in a dramatic hollywood movie, but if you really think about it, it is kind of true.

Never fear.
Be confident.
Be yourself.

If everything was to be the way it was supposed to be, would it actually be like you wanted it to be?

Poetry, all connected with one of the following "things":
hate and love
love and hate
love and love
hate and hate

The easiest way to approach me is to talk to me, not run away from me.
My road of patience has a dead end.
Don't try to run to the end of it and see what will happen.
Rather turn back and embrace what you feel and embrace what you love.

Positive thoughts never come uninvited.

Think positive, it's easier
Embrace the things you care for
Continue study and/or learn something new, as long as you live
Learn from your mistakes
Don't complicate your life for no reason
Try to understand and encourage others around you
Don't give up, success in life is a long run
Find and develop your talents
Put yourself an aim and make your dreams come true
